Journey to Promote Mental Health

Recognizing the need for culturally sensitive training for settlement service workers with a focus on mental health, a dialogue between OCASI and Hong Fook Mental Health Association began early in 2007 to discuss the possibility of a partnership to provide training sessions for settlement workers from across the province.

CIC first funded the project in October of 2008 as a joint collaboration between OCASI and Hong Fook. The project is currently renewed for the second time with Hong Fook Mental Health Association as the project lead.
