Ontario Volunteer Service Awards 2017

Volunteers are the roots of a strong Hong Fook. Every year Hong Fook proudly nominates its volunteers to be recognized for the Ontario Volunteer Service Awards for their continuous years of commitment and dedicated service to Hong Fook Mental Health Association and Hong Fook Mental Health Foundation.

Adults are recognized for five, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30+, 40+, 50+ and 60+ years of continuous service. Youth (under the age of 24) are recognized for two or more years of continuous service. In 2016-17, the following volunteers have been selected for the Ontario Volunteer Service Awards:

  • 35 Years of Service: Dr. Peter Chang
  • 25 Years of Service: Amy Chan, Judy San, Matthew San
  • 15 Years of Service: Bailin Li, Grace Law, Nancy Chow, Qihui Min, Rebecca Kwok, Suyeon Jin
  • 10 Years of Service: Fei Wang, Shu Zhi Zhou, Wen Jian Xia
  • 5 Years of Service: Annie Hu, Charles Chi, Charles Xie, Chunhua Gu, Clara Tsang, Irene Yuen, Julia Zhang, Terence Chan, Yeoung Sang Kim, Yuen Sheung Lau
  • Youth Volunteers: Emily Tram, Jennifer Zhao, Ryan Tram, Stephanie Lem, Tommy Huang

The Ontario Volunteer Service Awards Ceremony was hosted on March 28, 2017 at the Brighton Convention & Event Centre, Scarborough.
